The Tubman Museum will be hosting the 14th annual All That Jazz gala on Saturday, November 7th, 2009   from 7:00pm - 11:00pm

This black tie affair will be held at the Anderson Conference Center, located at 5171 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon, GA.

All That Jazz will start the evening with live music performed by local jazz great Harold Thomas and the Danger Zone, followed by all-time party favorite A.J. the D.J.

Gourmet food will be catered by the talented chefs of Edgar’s Bistro Restaurant and Polly’s Hospitality Institute. Click here to view the menu.

This year, All That Jazz will publicly honor known African American artists for their achievements and cultural influence. A Special, One-night Exhibition of their work will be on display. The artists include Ron Adams, Amalia Amaki, Benny Andrews, Radcliffe Bailey, Kevin Cole, Sam Gilliam, Stefanie Jackson, Wadsworth Jerrell, Donald Locke, Mildred Thompson, Howardena Pindell, and Larry Walker. Join us as we meet these artists and view their works of art.

All That Jazz will also feature the Signature Silent Auction featuring original works of art, signed memorabilia, unique gift baskets, tickets to exciting events, luxury items and more. Proceeds generated from All That Jazz go directly to the important educational and community initiatives; and help us realize the Tubman’s broader mission to educate people about African American art, history, and culture. We do this through our wide range of exhibits, programs, after-school classes, workshops, summer camps, school outreach activities, lectures, and special events (like the Pan African Festival of Georgia).

An exciting new element has been added to All That Jazz.  Courtesy Valet Service will be provided by the United States Air Force, with special thanks to Robins Air Force Base and the 116th Air Control Wing, home of the J.S.T.A.R.S.

Tickets are $100 and Tables of 8 are $750  or get your tickets by Becoming a sponsor of the event. Tickets are also sold at the museum front desk - call or stop by today. Reserved seating is limited, please make arrangements to purchase your tickets early.
