Photographs by Matthew Odom

Matthew Odom is a much sought after photographer.  He is a versatile artist, equally comfortable and skilled in portrait, lifestyle, sports, architectural and advertising photography.  He is also an experienced photo-journalist who worked in local television news before deciding to take up photography as his profession.  He is a native of Macon, Georgia.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Mercer University.  He routinely travels in and out of state working on assignments for national publications.  He recently shot a portrait of Brian Stephenson, the Founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative for National Geographic magazine.  He has exhibited his photographs locally at the Macon Arts Alliance Gallery and the 567 Center for Renewal.  He received the Readers Choice Award for Best Local Photographer from the 11th Hour Magazine in 2015 and 2016.  When not working Matthew is an avid sports fan, an 80’s music lover and comic collector.  This show features a selection of works completed over the last five years.  This is Matthew’s first museum exhibition.
