The American Red Cross has a great need to increase its blood supply and a critical need for African American and Black individuals to give blood following a decline in donations needed for patients with sickle cell disease amid the COVID19 outbreak.
Wesleyan College BSA, the new Center for Social and Racial Equity, and the Tubman Museum are collaborating to help. We are hosting a learning opportunity on sickle cell anemia and the health disparity in the Black community presented by the American Red Cross. Please join us for a blood drive on Wednesday, 22 September, and donate. Please see the flyer for additional information.
Register to donate: redcrossblood.org and enter zip code 31210.
