The Tubman Museum — in collaboration with the Middle Georgia Regional Library — celebrates Women’s History Month by hosting a special presentation of “More Than Buildings: African American Female Educators in the History of Macon-Bibb County“ by Muriel Jackson, Head of the Genealogical & Historical Room at Washington Memorial Library‘s Middle Georgia Archives.
This event shines the spotlight on and helps to recognize the legacy of numerous “Hidden Figures” in our very own communities by sharing the history of many African American women who made significant contributions to the Middle Georgia region.
