What might at first seem like your typical museum camp is actually a journey through time. Children from all over middle Georgia will gather at the Tubman African American Museum for two one-week sessions. Children ages 7 – 12 will take a journey through Macon’s historically significant black neighborhoods and churches, as well as key spots throughout the community. By grasping an understanding of the past, the camp team leaders and education department with the Tubman hope to create a sense of pride in the campers.
