Director of Sales and Marketing

Nicole ThurstonNicole Thurston, Director of Sales and Marketing, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia College & State University, with a Minor in International Studies.

She previously worked as a Radio DJ for two years in Milledgeville  and later as the 5 p.m. and Special Projects Producer for 13WMAZ. She won the Associated Press Award for Best Public Affairs Reporting for the documentary, “Faces of Freedom” and a Gabby Award for Excellence in Broadcasting (Georgia Association of Broadcasters). Nicole has also worked as the Communications/Programs Specialist in Georgia for the Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia,  and Marketing and Communications Director for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, where she covered eastern Tennessee, the state of Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida.

She also volunteers for Middle Georgia Art Association; Public Arts Committee for the College Hill Corridor Commission; Alum of Leadership Macon Class of 2013; Member Downtown Macon Rotary; Member of Star Choices Community Advisory Board; Member Travel Advisory Committee for the Macon Bibb Convention & Visitor’s Bureau; Advisory Board for Star Choices; Member Macon Arts Alliance Arts Round table; Member Ladies Auxiliary for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Volunteer for Macon Volunteer Clinic,  and Member Main Street Macon Downtown Business Association.
