Tonya Parker OutleyTonya Parker, Director of Education at the Tubman Museum, Ms. Parker holds a Master of Theology degree, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wesleyan College where she was honored as Woman of the Year in 2001 for outstanding contributions in leadership, scholarship and service during her four years as a student.

Prior to joining the Tubman Museum, Tonya served as Assistant Program Director and Senior Membership Manager for Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.  She provided outreach educational offerings in the afterschool programs at underserved schools and housing communities in Bibb and surrounding counties, and provided executive camp experience to 86% of the state of Georgia from 2008-2012. Tonya co-hosted the National Girl Scout Camp and Property Kindred in February 2012. Tonya shares her joy and enthusiasm through inspirational and motivational speaking.

She is also a youth teacher, group leader, prayer minister, and missionary for her church, Harvest Cathedral. Tonya serves as the Tubman’s resident storyteller, SunDrella.
